    The charging of sharing fleets of dockless operators is not only a high cost factor that Okai aims to decrease, but has always been a big point of criticism in public perception. Most shared e-scooters need to be collected, charged and redistributed regularly, often using fossil-fueled vehicles. With Okai’s all in one solution, these times are over.  


    Our brand new Okai Charging Cabinet will change the face of dockless fleets. It's a powerful and sustainable solution for both e-scooters and e-bikes.  

    The Okai swappable battery system is compatible with two modalities. The ES400B, the market leading sharing electric scooter and the EB100, the most durable & beautiful sharing e-bike on the market. The UX of the system is designed to be seamless and swift. Simply swap the used battery from one vehicle and replace the recharged, fresh battery from the cabinet – one size fits all.

    Swappable Batteries - A Safe Solution


    As theft and vandalism can be concerning for some sharing providers we have taken extensive safety measures to make sure our technology is not only strong but secure as well. 


    The swappable batteries of our new LEV’s come with a robust battery case and a battery lock system that protects your fleet from malicious mischief. No easy target for damage: the swappable battery with its metal battery shell is integrated into the front stem of the scooter, fastened by a power plug. The anchoring mechanism of the battery case is comparable to a car trunk, stable and secure. 


    Not only that but the quick exchange and replacement of batteries prolong fleet lifetime cycles. The vehicles are saved from being collected then loaded and unloaded. This, in addition to the sensor monitoring system, reduces the risk of superficial and internal damage. 


    Every swappable battery comes with a monitoring display to enable daily inspections – preventing future malfunctions. These safety and prevention operations outperform the life cycle of embedded batteries and ensure smooth running fleets in the future.

    Okai’s in-house battery production facility guarantees the highest safety & quality standards. 39 Samsung cells and a custom-made battery management system ensure the highest quality performance of our swappable batteries. 


    When it comes to safety, extensive testing is a must in manufacturing. Okai’s tests include: short circuit test, vibration test, drop test, high + low temperature test, soak test. Batteries must meet all reference standards before leaving our facilities.  


    The powerful 47 V 14.7 AH large capacity battery is one of the most powerful in the game. Some swappable batteries suffer from capacity reducing locking mechanisms, however with Okai’s outstanding range of > 60 km and the fast charge of 3.2 hours, we guarantee a healthy battery to be at your disposal.

    Swappable batteries enable providers of smaller fleets to become part of the game. They make it easier to reach the same service levels with compact fleet sizes since they don’t have to make up their minds about charging time-outs and can always provide the needed number of rides.
