The next few weeks are going to be busy. We are looking forward to trying out the new ALL DIGITAL format of Autonomy.Paris and Ebike-Future-Con. Both events should be very interesting and both are free to register.
We at OKAI believe that Autonomy in Paris has always been one of the important shows and gatherings when it comes to Micro Mobility and Shared Mobility. Many of our existing customers have attended the show in the past. We are looking forward to trying out the new ALL DIGITAL format during COVID19 and hope that we can make the most of it.
The last-mile problem is a public transportation dilemma regarding the difficulty of moving passengers from private residences to mass-transit centers i.e. bus stops, train stations, etc. The spatial inefficiency associated with city streets forces commuters to use personal transportation for short distances between their transit stop and home.
This year at IFA was a monumental moment for OKAI as it was the world debut of our new EB100 electric bicycle for sharing operations,ES500 for the consumer market, and also a charging cabinet compatible with both scooter and e-bike batteries.
In addition we will be unveiling our first ever electric scooter for the consumer market. The reveal is set to take place at this year's IFA trade show from September 3rd - September 5th in Berlin, Germany.
Here’s is going on this month: The Berlin team was just enriched by a new team member in the sales department. The ES500, Okai’s first consumer product, is launching by the end of August. There’s still time to get a discount on your first order, if you haven’t yet.
Now more than ever, like-minded people in mobility need to come together to find new solutions to get people moving. To jumpstart the conversation, we invite you to the OKAI Motion Show 2020 in Berlin on July 16.
Lawrence Leuschner, CEO and Co-founder of TIER Mobility: “Swappable batteries are a real ecological game-changer for the entire e-scooter industry. As the leading European player we are proud to be the first ones to operate with this model. This is a huge step forward in our mission to change mobility for good and becoming fully carbon neutral as a company in the next 12 months.”
At Okai we have faced the pandemic since early January at our offices and factory in China and since February for our European headquarters. For a factory like Okai’s and thousands of others operating out of Zhejiang, a complete shutdown of all “non-essential companies, including manufacturing plants” meant that business as usual had come to a screeching halt.
